Cash Collections Representative


Job Description:

The Cash Collection Representative is responsible for engaging with customers daily to foster strong relationships with the primary goal of securing outstanding payments for our operational units. Representing our company to customers, the Cash Collection Representative plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships.

Job Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform daily collection activities and monitor overdue payments from customers.Engage in daily collection activities through telephone calls, emails, reminders, and statements.Approach customers daily to build and nurture positive relationships.Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records.Review and approve customer’s order hold releases.Drive necessary actions to improve Days Sales Outstanding and reduce bad debt percentages.Collaborate with Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, and Customer Service to discuss customer status and new orders.Prepare collection arrangements.Handle adjustments, queries, and resolve problems within company guidelines and policy.Process customer payments on accounts.Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge and Qualifications:

1-3 years’ experience in similar customer-focused roles.Credit collection qualification is desirable.Proficient with computer skills (Excel, Other Office tools, Outlook, CRM).Oracle/SAP experience, preferred.College-level education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent (E.g., Technical degree), preferred.

Critical Skills/Technical Know-How:

Fluent in English.Aptitude for a customer-oriented and service-minded approach.Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.Understanding of the credit collections process and use of collection automation tools is desirable.
