Under the general supervision of the Manager of Casino Operational Analytics, the Analyst of Operational Analytics is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve corporate performance by analyzing and optimizing all aspects of the casino operations and relevant areas including revenue, costs, forecasts, general operations, marketing, and gaming industry specific data (i.e. slot performance, volatility, and hold) . This position will perform objective analysis of gaming operations, present findings & recommendations to Operations Management under the guidance of the Manager of Casino Operations and Analytics.
Essential Functions:
Thorough analysis of key performance data, identify ways in which yield from key revenue sources may be improved Perform adhoc and regular cadence analytics and reporting that supports current goals and business initiatives. Utilize and enhance department KPI’s and reporting to challenge team and drive improvement in team's results. Identify and implement corrective action when off-track. Ensure processes are in place to measure overall effectiveness of casino assets and ensure assets are continuously maximized Prepare and present executive summary of analytical and operational results for the senior management on a monthly/quarterly basis Create collaboration tools for onboard teams and work to remove or reduce intra and interdepartmental communication barriers. Create a forum for revenue generating ideas Lead by example by ‘respecting and protecting’ the health and safety of yourself and others Ensure your team and colleagues speak up report all accidents, ‘near miss’ incidents and work related ill health conditions Help your team follow HESS rules and procedures by promoting the HESS Golden Rules Attend HESS training & conduct risk assessments where required Demonstrate HESS leadership in accordance with our Heroes of Safe & Well programmer Performs other duties as assignedQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a data-related, computer, or mathematical field. Master's Degree a Plus. 2+ years of experience in performance/financial analysis Commanding knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable BI applications or query tools. Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft products. Java, Oracle, data warehousing, and BI experience is a plus. Experience with Python, R or other data science tools is a strong plus.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

This position is classified as “in-office.” Because of the nature of the role, employees are required to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida five days each week. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
