THE JOB: 

The Casino Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the casino floor, public areas, and restrooms. This role involves ensuring that the casino provides a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and employees. The porter works closely with other housekeeping and maintenance staff to meet high standards of cleanliness while adhering to safety regulations.

SCHEDULE: (Varying shifts) 11:00am-7:45pm/ 7:00pm-3:45am/3:00am-11:45am

THE DAY-TO-DAY: 

Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure all areas of the casino, including gaming floors, lounges, hallways, and restrooms, are kept clean and orderly. Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying trash bins.

Restroom Upkeep: Regularly clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and ensure the cleanliness is maintained throughout the shift.

Trash and Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling bins from public areas, casino floors, and back-of-house locations, and dispose of waste properly.

Spill Response: Promptly respond to spills or other hazards on the casino floor to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.

Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and other housekeeping tools, ensuring they are used safely and stored properly after use.

Customer Assistance: Provide courteous and prompt assistance to guests who may have questions or require directions. Serve as an ambassador for guest services while maintaining focus on cleanliness.

Stocking and Inventory: Monitor and replenish supplies such as hand sanitizers, cleaning products, and restroom materials, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.

Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any unsafe conditions or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately.

Special Projects: Assist with cleaning duties related to special events, deep-cleaning tasks, and other projects as needed by management.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

At least 6 months Customer Service Experience

Strong Communication skills

Customer service oriented

Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

Strong attention to detail.

Pay Rate

The typical pay for this role is:

$18.75

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
