THE JOB:

The Casino Porter plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere by delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining cleanliness in designated areas, and fostering a safe environment for both guests and staff. Their responsibilities include regular cleaning and organizing tasks that enhance the overall experience for visitors, while also supporting the operational efficiency of the casino.

THE STARTING RATE: $17.65 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Sweeps and removes all wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from floorCleans and dusts slot machines, including areas between machines, doors, and woodworkRemoves scuffmarks and drink spillsCleans up biohazard areasCleans slot chairs, polishes their bases, and then returns chairs to proper positionVacuums entire assigned stations, moving chairs and other objects to ensure thorough cleaningRemoves trash, replaces missing ashtrays, and wipes out and cleans all ashtrays and trash cansEnsures all equipment is returned to department and all malfunctioning equipment is reportedReplenishes supplies when necessaryResponds to and resolves guest challenges in a timely manner and creatively solves problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Ability to work safely, including understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions; this also includes being aware of unsafe conditions such as spills, wet areas, debris, and addressing quickly and efficientlyAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal formsAbility to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environmentEffective listening abilities with strong judgment skillsExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contactsMaintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
