Casino Games Casino Shift Manager Responsibilities A structured casino shift manager role is critical to the success of the Eagle River Casino Travel Plaza Manages and leads daily casino operations of the Eagle River Casino Travel Plaza When individual department managers are not on site the casino shift manager is the default manager of all casino departments The casino shift manager will ensure all casino departments are in compliance with AGLC terms and conditions Budgeting Creates and enforces casino policy Responsible for the daily operations of the casino Reports to the general manager Procures new games and equipment cards chips etc Provides layout plans for table games floor and analyzes gametable performance Responsible for profit and loss management by following cash controlsecurity procedures managing labor reviewing financial reports and taking appropriate actions Completes weekly scheduling and payroll of casino gaming personnel Acts as a role model for employees and fosters teamwork employee morale motivation and open communication Hiring when required The workday varies and would require the ability to work shift work late nights weekends and holidays We are in the people business and therefore it is part of everyonersquos job to actively provide customer service This means that for every customer that comes in you will attempt to make eye contact greet and welcome our business This also means that you must always be attentive to the customerrsquos needs so there are no undue delays and we will serve our customers in a cheerful and efficient manner Our service attitude also implies an obligation to each other We must greet and acknowledge each other in a sincere professional way and seek to assist each other wherever practical thereby demonstrating that success is a shared experience among our teams Excellent customer relations and team work are an essential part of every job in this environment Qualifications years experience in the casino industry Minimum years demonstrated experience as a casino supervisor Must hold an AGLC license Knowledge of all forms of cheating at play and advantage play in the casino environment this includes cheating and manipulating slot machines Bachelor of Business Administration commerce casino management or related field preferred Ability to read analyze and interpret documents Ability to communicate effectively in a group setting or presentation setting with employees upper management terminal managers and customers Ability to calculate figures work mathematical concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw from valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of mathematical equations and diagrams and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Familiar with Microsoft Office applications Excellent written and oral communication skills Able to meet aggressive deadlines Manages workload independently and works well in teams Able to multitask and adjust to multiple jurisdictions Able to coach and provide support to employees Excellent guestcustomer skills Creates and maintains a positive working environment Strong leadership and coaching skills Able to multitask and to be able to manage change Possesses an expert knowledge of casino table games slots and poker policies and rules of play Able to work in a smoking environment
