Casting & Booking Coordinator

The Casting & Booking Coordinator helps the Entertainment Department’s shipboard team members move forward through the onboarding and scheduling processes to ensure Carnival’s fleet is fully staffed with top talent. The coordinator will have their own responsibilities and work with others to support the larger team. 

Essential Functions: 

Work directly with new hires and returning team members to review and process all onboarding paperwork (applications, medicals, background checks, visas, etc.) to ensure successful completion of required tasks. Regularly liaise with other Carnival Departments (Medical, Travel, Crew Operations, HR, etc.) to advance team members toward a positive start of their contract aboard a ship. Assist Casting & Booking Supervisors with team members’ next contract requests to provide future assignments in a timely manner. Update fleet contract schedule and individual movement in Crew Personnel System.  Provide administrative support including payroll changes, cabin requests, invoicing, etc. Provide coverage for Casting & Booking Supervisors and other Coordinators while they are out of the office. Improve processes and create efficiencies that lead to improved team member experience and engagement.  Coordinate and communicate with team members, ships, agents, and other departments via email and phone in positive and productive manner to improve overall satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality & Tourism, Entertainment Management, Human Resources, Administrative Support 1-2 years working in an administrative support capacity, preferably in the entertainment, cruise or HR industry. Experience with recruitment, onboarding, or scheduling preferred. Additional experience as a performer or recreation host is a plus. Must be computer/tech/web savvy and familiar with all MS office products, especially Excel. Database knowledge preferred. Weekend work may be required.

Strategic thinking to find solutions to complex problems that can balance short and long-term objectives. Ability to work proactively, both individually and as a team. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and focused when working under pressure in time-sensitive situations.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: No or very little travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May be requested to work a different shift.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday.  Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

The range for this role’s base salary is $17.00 - $19.25 per hour.  Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
