Gain hands-on patient care experience and build your clinical skills as a Casual Patient Care Technician—the perfect opportunity for nursing students looking to grow in a supportive healthcare environment! 
We’re seeking a commitment of at least one shift per week, with opportunities for additional hours over school breaks.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients with daily living activities, procedures, and therapies under RN supervision. Perform core nursing assistant tasks, including vital signs, blood glucose checks, I&O, and specimen collection. Conduct advanced skills as needed, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, Foley catheter removal, and point-of-care testing. Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and provide patient status updates. Maintain a safe and respectful environment, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and safety protocols. Support patient mobility, transport, meal assistance, and comfort measures. Document patient care accurately and complete clerical tasks as required. Educate patients and families on care instructions per RN direction. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department projects. Continuously seek professional development through feedback, training, and self-review
