Position Summary
Investigates, evaluates, and manages complex and high-risk claims involving bodily injury or property damage against the company and its personnel.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Determines company liability and sets appropriate reserves for claims.Negotiates settlements with insurance carriers, plaintiff attorneys, and claimants.Reviews medical records and property damage estimates to assess company exposure.Partners with adjusters, appraisers, and investigators to evaluate claims.Coordinates with Third-Party Administrators and defense counsel on litigated claims.Oversees litigation assignments, plans, and budgets with defense counsel and Third-Party Administrators.Collects necessary information to respond to discovery requests and documents claim progress.Attends mediations, trials, or key depositions to evaluate and resolve claims.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, finance, or a related field.2+ years of claims handling or related experience.Property and Casualty Adjuster License or Legal License.Benefits
