## About the Role
Join our dynamic team as an Assortment Operations Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping product selection strategies. You’ll drive category expansion, develop the first assortment management methodology for Grocery and Retail, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, relevance, and a seamless shopping experience. Your work will have a direct impact on selection strategy, operational efficiency, and business growth.
## What You’ll Do
- Develop data-driven insights: Build and maintain dashboards to track category performance, assortment depth, and sales trends, enabling data-backed decision-making.
- Design and implement assortment frameworks: Create methodologies to define minimum viable assortments per category, helping catalog and commercial teams prioritize and optimize selection.
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with merchandising, catalog, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on assortment strategies and seamless execution.
- Optimize time-to-market: Streamline product creation and listing processes to accelerate the introduction of essential and trending products.
- Drive strategic category growth: Analyze sales performance and market trends to identify opportunities for expansion and improved product availability.
- Lead end-to-end projects: Develop scalable assortment methodologies that enhance operational efficiency and improve cross-team collaboration.
- Plan for seasonality and trends: Anticipate and execute assortment plans that align with evolving customer preferences and seasonal demand.
## What You’ll Need
- 3-5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, operations, or strategy.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Experience leading data-driven projects and optimizing operational processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of retail/e-commerce assortment optimization and category management principles.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience to align strategies and implement solutions effectively.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to translate data into actionable strategies and drive business impact.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing creative solutions for complex challenges.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills, building trust-based relationships across teams.
- Strong business judgment and critical thinking, using data to inform quick, strategic decisions.
