Cataloging Assistant

We are seeking a **_Cataloging Assistant_** to assist with a short duration project at the Sheridan Libraries Technical Services Department on the Mt. Washington Campus. The position will assist with reviewing cataloging records for materials for a gift collection of print monographs and ephemera written in Czech. The work includes: reviewing materials and providing information to the Content Management Librarian for Special Collections in order to enhance the records. This work is anticipated to take 4 to 6 months.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Search the main library catalog, Catalyst, for the record.
+ Review the item and the record to make sure the record has all necessary and helpful information, including artist identification and information.
+ Record any adjustments that need to be made by the Content Management Librarian for Special Collections.
**Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ Ability to read Czech.
+ Ability to work independently & productively.
+ Ability to learn new skills quickly and thoroughly.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
+ One-year related experience.
+ Additional education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Basic familiarity with Windows & Microsoft Office suite.
