Job Summary

The jobholder is the primary point of contact for 3rd party warehouse providers as well as for logistics operations and other internal stakeholders interacting with the 3rd party warehouses within a designated territory of the distribution network   Responsible for 3rd party warehouse provider management, Warehouse Capacity Adherence, Systems integrations, managing compliance, Service levels, Inventory Control, Quality Compliance, Damage & Performance reporting. Success in this role is primarily measured by cost reduction/avoidance, successful management of suppliers, the ability to work with other departments on warehousing-related projects, ensuring warehouse operations are able to support the demand of the business, thus providing a high level of service to the company. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate and own the execution of all daily operational activities for assigned 3rd party warehouse territory, such as managing EDI IDOC failures, ensuring proper data synchronization between 3rd party warehouse management systems and SAP or reconciling outbound shipping records and returns as needed. Ensure 3rd warehouse providers are meeting or exceeding SLAs and KPIs for processes and activities and will play a key role in conducting quarterly performance reviews. Drive continuous improvement to, maintain, and report on warehouse distribution KPIs. Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. Manage the relationship between the internal stakeholders and suppliers. Assist with ensuring 3rd party partners are providing material status and condition of slow-moving, expired, and blocked materials at assigned locations. Oversee 3rd party activities on quality issues as they pertain to inventory management, rework and disposition. Take action to support development of peers and cross-functional partners through an emphasis on coaching, providing constructive feedback, and enhancing leadership capabilities. Drive effective training and presentation to peers and cross-functional partners on strategic initiatives.

Assist with projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree preferred, with preference towards Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management or 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation, Warehousing and/or Project Management or 3 years working directly within warehouse operations in a service-driven organization. Experience with SAP, Warehouse Management or Transportation Management systems, Business Warehouse or similar reporting packages, databases and analytical tools highly preferred. Knowledge of key inventory and supply chain performance metrics. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, mostly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data mining) Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exhibits confidence and ability to interact with various levels both internally & externally. Able to work independently as well as across functional or matrix team structures. Ability to influence and build consensus around proposed opportunities within and outside of Supply Chain (Transportation, Customer Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations, etc.). Strong analytical skills with high level of organization, follow through & accuracy. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy. Well-developed relationship-building, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, data extraction and analysis.

Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong track record for execution and follow through when managing critical deadlines.
