A Category Application Engineer shall analyze RFPs to understand client requirements and assess product fit. Gather input from various teams for accurate product selection and lead application engineering for specific product categories. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and develop technical solutions. Maintain technical documentation, identify risks, and adapt to new technologies.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Collaborate with project proposal Engineer/lead engineers to understand the specific requirements of each project. Analyze project needs and select appropriate Category i.e Flowmeter, Ball valve, Control valve & mechanical Fabrication and associated equipment. Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering and manufacturing teams/Suppliers. Facilitate clear communication to resolve technical queries and ensure timely execution of equipment specifications. Address and resolve technical queries related to equipment specifications, and applications. Evaluate past purchases and application cases to leverage historical knowledge in current projects. Continuously seek ways to improve application processes and equipment performance. Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment specifications, selection criteria, and project outcomes. Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices. Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal guidelines and processes Experience in monitoring and managing inventory levels. Coordination with supply chain teams for optimal stock availability.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the manufacturing environment. Solid understanding on MRP (Oracle) and MS Office software like MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. Ability to work with internal partners & external suppliers. Ability to lead change and alignment on new concepts and approaches through persistence, self-motivation, follow-through, and commitment. Great teammate who builds and maintains positive team member relations. Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Possess strong analytical skills.Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Degree / Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering 5-10 years of experience Industry specific certification will be added advantage.
