As the Category Buyer Energy, you will be responsible, for the category of spend assigned, for implementing sourcing strategies according to category management strategies and leading sourcing activities across all business units at global level.

This includes activities such as, but not limited to, partnering with the internal business teams to support their objectives, assist with building project scopes, consolidate all business needs and specification, conduct Global Request for Proposal (RFP), negotiate contracts renewals, rate cards / discount schedules, and manage overall relationships with key suppliers. Main responsibilities

Strategy

Develop and execute the global procurement Energy strategy to create added value for our business partners and for all industrial sitesElaborate contract and risk management strategies according to the Corporate guidelines (SOP, Energy hedging strategy…)Develop strategies considering competitiveness and breakthrough innovation/technologies aligned with the global Energy strategy across all GBUsDeploy renewable energy purchase through Power Purchase Agreement, Biomethane, on site solar productionsDeliver savings on the commodity, taxes optimization, subsidies mechanisms (White certificates, Demand Response…)Harmonize and identify synergies between countries, contracts and suppliers in order to increase the performanceCapture market and suppliers' knowledge and share it within SanofiEnsure daily Procurement business such as TCO (Total cost of ownership), Market study, Risk mitigation, HSE (health, safety and environment), ESG (environmental social governance), Conformity, QualityDrive SRM (Supplier relationship management) with key supplier accounts

Operational

Lead global negotiations and co-manage projects/initiatives across multiple GBUs/sites with key stakeholdersDrive contractual negotiations related to renewable projects (on-site solar, PPA…) + contracts managementSupport corporate/sites project goals & objectives, manage contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriateDrive initiatives such as taxes optimization, subsidies mechanisms (White certificates, Demand Response…)

About you

Experience

5+ years' experience in Procurement Maintenance experience in pharma industry

Soft skills

Proven track record in building and leading cross-functional teams while influencing stakeholdersCapacity to think out of the box with a problem-solving approach to contribute to the strategyResults oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, notably on large data setsKnowledge of SAP MM module and any CMMS toolProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointPower BI skills (use and development)Energy market knowledge (at least European markets): energy supply contract mechanism, energy marketplacesEnergy risk management knowledgeTrained into crisis managementKnowledge of Pharma GMP work environmentGood understanding of finance and legal aspectsFlexible, receptive, resourceful, creative, and results orientedProven project managementTechnical and commercial NegotiationCommunication skills - Assertiveness, ability to convince/influence others and excellent presentation skillsAble to quickly assimilate new information/skillsReadily adapts to new environment, processes, ways of workingTeam player with excellent interpersonal sensitivityRole model in compliance and ethics

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or another relevant field

Languages

Excellent command of both written and spoken English required (other language, as French, is a plus)
