In this position... 

Join us as a Category Implementation Manager for Platform Structural Assemblies.  In this dynamic role, you’ll drive strategic sourcing for our platform body structure commodities, develop and executive negotiation strategies and have the opportunity to lead a team of experienced Supply Chain professionals. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with our STA, Program, Finance and Engineering colleagues.  If you’re a passionate and proactive leader with the ability to develop and execute complex strategies, this is your chance to make a significant impact for Ford Motor Company.

You'll have... 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field of study5+ years of supply chain or purchasing experience within the automotive industryHigh business acumen with solid understanding of Purchasing procedures and processesAbility to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners Ability to develop and successfully execute negotiation strategies

Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain3-5 years of direct leadership experienceHigh confidence and ability to break down barriers to help the team achieve objectives.Exceptional presentation and organization skills.Strong written and verbal communication, clear executive level messagingAbility to multi-task; handle several assignments at one time.Learning and growth mindset, with strong teaching skills.Emotionally resilient, ability to react to change quickly.Proven record of building strong relationships and networks, both internally and externally.Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, WebEx teams, etc.

What you'll do...

Lead a team to develop supplier strategies based on Category Manager input to deliver Sourcing Contracts on-time, within program target while managing quality and riskLead a team to develop and deliver with excellence supplier negotiation packs outlining our strategies to delivery multi-year QCDR plans for targeted suppliers. Lead a team to develop and deliver with excellence our DSF commodity papers for Step 1 & 2 demonstrating high expertise of our sourcing strategies and commodity knowledgeCoach, motivate, develop and successfully execute negotiation strategies to minimize supplier claims and deliver our multi-year material cost targets (TVM)Support Quality initiatives by holding suppliers accountable, sourcing to Q1 sites or achieving Q1 sites where targeted, developing and executing plans for fix/exit of low performing suppliers.   Support STA, SOT and cross-functional teams in managing critical supplier concernsAccountable to work closely with others to meet deadlines with excellence; drive others to deliver required materials on time and with qualityStrong focus on delivering the Ford+ Plan and ability to communicate how to do so with the team
