Together, let's build a brighter, healthier future for all. **About The Role** The **Category Management Assistant** supports the Category Management Specialist in the development of an indispensable category management offering in assigned categories and with assigned accounts based on Best Practices methodology, helping retailers get our products into the store, off the shelf, and into the home of our consumers more efficiently and profitably, so increasing their return on investment. **Main Responsibilities:** Best Practices Category Management + Complete Best Practice templates for each stage of process for assigned categories using Nielsen and Consumer Insight studies to understand channel, segment and size trends, consumer needs and purchase decision process, purchase frequency, intensity and transaction size etc, with the objective of helping partner accounts improve management of the category through the supply chain to the point of sale + Analyze partner account data and compare with market to identify category opportunities and develop category strategies and tactics for assortment, pricing, promotion and merchandising at the point of sale + Coordinate regular meetings between multi-functional category teams, ensuring meeting infrastructure meets all team needs at minimal cost + Assist in development of motivating strategic presentations for all stages of process in core categories + Manage category partnership process to ensure delivery of high quality, timely analysis and become an indispensable part of the account´s business + Help coordinate in-field tests and rollout of implementation plans using Field Salesmen and specially trained Promoters, keeping Field Sales and Customer Marketing Management updated on progress and issues as they arise + Help evaluate and supervise all tests before, during and after implementation and against control stores in order to build understanding of the impact of different tactics at the point of sale and improve CP´s overall understanding of category demand drivers Merchandising/Shelf Management + Finalize generic category planograms based on strategies and tactics developed in Best Practices process + Perform analysis of Account data and tailor planograms to account needs + Support Field Sales, Consumer Marketing and Channel requests for merchandising support to help us “win at the shelf” **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience completed + At least +1 year of experience working with data analysis + Previous experience working with category management **(Preferable)** + English Level Proficiency + Google Suite Proficiency (Access and Excel/Sheets) + Experience managing tools such as Spaceman or Space-planing **(Preferable)** **Key Competencies:** + Planning, priority setting and results orientation + Commercial (retailer and brand) awareness + Creativity and flexibility + Strategic thinking and vision + Influencing and negotiation + Financial understanding and numeracy **Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion** Achieving our purpose starts with our people — ensuring our workforce represents the people and communities we serve —and creating an environment where our people feel they belong; where we can be our authentic selves, feel treated with respect and have the support of leadership to impact the business in a meaningful way. **Equal Opportunity Employer** Colgate is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, disability, marital status, veteran status (United States positions), or any other characteristic protected by law.
