What you need to know about this position:
The Category Management specialist reports to the Category Manager. The successful candidate will drive best practice category management initiatives and shelf strategies.The Category Management specialist manages all activities relating to optimizing assortment and shelf management with retail customers The role will support the Category Managers on planogram and data analytics and collaborate with cross functional teams including Customer Business Teams, Sales strategy, and MarketingAnalytical work can also include pricing analysis, promotion analysis, reporting and category reviews incorporating multiple data sources and category thought leadership

Strong technical skills to drive best in class Nielsen reporting and tools Power user of customer POS data systems and JDA space management softwareAnalytic storytelling skills: integrating and interpreting data and insights from multiple disparate sources into a concise action-oriented recommendations and strong presentation skills to bring recommendations to life.A background and understanding of the FMCG environment is criticalSnacking experience (Biscuit, Confectionary, NPF/bars) an assetAttention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervisionAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and deliver on key customer KPIs
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.2+ years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.Excellent understanding of market research techniques and data analysis methodologies.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences.Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving category growth and customer satisfaction.Job specific requirements:
Strong presentation skills to present findings and recommendation to the retailer in a concise mannerStrong proficiency in Syndicated Market Research Data and Analytic tools (NielsenIQ, Nielsen Connect platform, LDIA, Retail Link, IRI, Dunnhumby, Numerator)Experience in Space Planning / JDA management software an assetAdvanced skills in Excel, Powerpoint & Tableau an assetWork schedule:
