Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a skilled CAPEX Category Manager with a good technical understanding and experience within sourcing of production-related equipment (Assembly Automation, Process-specific machinery, Testing solutions, etc.).

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

As CAPEX Category Manager, you will join a team of highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together and acting as sparring partners for each other. As part of our Procurement Indirect team, you will be responsible for strategic and tactical sourcing activities supporting our factories in China, covering investments of several million Dollars.

In your role, together with our internal stakeholders, you will drive sourcing activities across different factories and locations. You will be responsible for commercial interaction with the market, support the decision-making processes, and lead negotiations and contracting activities. You will also manage and develop suppliers within key technologies, and you will be responsible for supporting and developing the procurement category strategy.

Your flexible sourcing approach will balance our key value drivers when working with Capital Equipment –Cost, Speed and Risk Mitigation – helping our stakeholders to generate the highest possible impact in our business.

Background & Skills

To be successful in this position, we expect you to have a suitable bachelor and/or master’s degree and a proven track record within Project based Procurement, Manufacturing Equipment Industry, or highly technical Procurement (+5 years). Furthermore, you have the following qualifications and characteristics: 

Strong negotiation and communication skills Experienced in project and stakeholder management Team and goal-oriented mindset and analytical approach Fluent English skills at negotiation level is a must Experience within Procurement of Custom Engineered Machinery will be considered an advantage, same as having a good understanding of different types of contracting models Previous working experience from a global company is seen as a strong asset  Danfoss – Engineering Tomorrow
