ROLE STATEMENT: The Category Manager, Sand - US will be a member of the US Operations Support – Supply Chain department, responsible for executing the strategy and implementing divisional supply chain initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain – US, this role will focus on managing the purchase order life cycle, contract management, and executing supply chain strategies for the sand category. The role is also responsible for supporting the day-to-day logistical and warehouse supply and delivery challenges for all districts and ensuring key suppliers are performing as per commercial terms. LOCATION: Downtown Denver, CO SALARY: $115k - $150k DOE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Manage the purchase order lifecycle, including expediting, invoice reconciliation, and closeout. Help manage and support materials and inventory initiatives through district engagement, vendor management, and reporting. Provide Oracle and Cetaris assistance, covering off PO-related processes. Maintain accurate, up-to-date supply chain master data within Oracle and Cetaris. Conduct internal and external spend and market analyses, identify opportunities, and execute divisional strategies. Support and execute RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs on behalf of the US Division. Monitor sand forecast requirements for availability and deliveries for divisional activities. Build partnerships across all lines of business to achieve the best possible results. Provide a “value-added” approach to all supply chain initiatives and establish a trusted advisor relationship with internal stakeholders. Create and develop innovative ways of streamlining the operations process with customer requirements and supply strategies. Optimize deliveries and logistics activities with key suppliers. Support daily logistical and warehouse supply and delivery challenges across districts. Ensure key suppliers are performing as per commercial terms. Source extra product based upon new sales opportunities. Ensure 3rd party transportation is supported and aligned to divisional and global strategies. Support and educate suppliers and staff on procurement policies and procedures. Generate reports including contract compliance, spend analytics, and forecast versus actual. Complete ad hoc operational projects as needed. Act as a key link between internal stakeholder groups and external supplier base. Utilize global and/or regional operations to exploit corporate opportunities, with a high expectation of positively impacting operations, costs, adherence to policies and regulations, production figures, and cycle times. Lead sourcing initiatives with functional business partners for multiple divisions. Develop, coordinate, achieve consensus, and implement a global sand supply strategy. Maintain awareness of appropriate sand suppliers and market intelligence. Prioritize and execute Procurement Council initiatives regarding sand. Develop and implement sand sourcing strategies from production facility to well-site. Monitor available supplies, materials, and products to ensure access to necessary sand. Optimize the sand supply and fulfillment. KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: Highly energetic, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to generate reports with high attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential. Experienced in extensive cross-functional collaboration, and use of strategic sourcing best practices. Strong leadership, mentoring, and delegation skills. Ability to challenge assumptions backed by strong business acumen and interpersonal skills. High character; consistent and acts in line with a clear set of values and beliefs. Can accomplish goals through influence, not only through authority. Focus on action and outcomes; drives to finish everything started. Experience working within a dynamic and competitive industry sector. History of contributing and advising senior management on Supply Chain issues. Sand, chemicals, blending, and negotiations background. Good working knowledge of worldwide oilfield services operations. Understanding theoretical inventory practices and turning those strategies into successful implementations. Experience with supply chain tools (RFx) to accelerate global deliverables. Ability to motivate client groups to participate in designing and implementing effective corporate solutions. Hands-on, operationally-oriented, and value-added approach. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree or equivalent. 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible supply chain experience. Strong working knowledge of oilfield services operations. Experience with components and parts is an asset. Logistics knowledge with specific experience in rail and bulk truck transport desirable.
