**Role Description**
As a Category Manager, you will partner with key stakeholders to help shape and implement procurement strategies. This team is focused on categories related to deploying, installing and maintaining our FTTH network and is responsible for developing and driving holistic category strategies, negotiating value-added partnerships and bringing excellence to supplier management. In this role, you will work in a team environment that is high-growth, fast moving, and constantly changing. You will embrace ambiguity and collaborate across teams to develop new procurement approaches and solve complex business problems. You will support operational excellence while being part of an environment where team members can grow, learn, do their best work, and feel appreciated.
**In this role, you'll:**
+ Play an integral role in the development of multi-year strategies across telecommunications sub-categories.
+ Establish strategic supplier relationship management programs and maintain a working understanding of the supply base.
+ Support developing purchasing policies and operational processes to yield cost competitive partnerships while reducing risk and maximizing value.
+ Support alignment of Procurement team initiatives with stakeholder business objectives through an understanding of business requirements.
+ Be part of cross-functional teams executing category initiatives, and help ensure delivery of maximum value across the procurement process.
+ Contribute to the compliance tracking of category specific policies, performance metrics, and analysis of market trends and leading practices.
**At a minimum we'd like you to have:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 7 years of procurement experience in telecommunications, construction or other related fields.
+ 5 years of experience in multi-disciplined services procurement.
+ 3 years of experience in category strategy development and sourcing within telecommunications categories.
**It's preferred if you have:**
+ MBA or advanced degree in a technical field.
+ Experience supporting initiatives from strategy to execution to deliver results.
+ Experience using written and verbal communication to present recommendations and analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Experience with the application of contract law and contract management.
+ Experience in launching new programs and building processes from the ground up and demonstrating ability to think strategically, identify opportunities for cost savings, and develop creative solutions to complex procurement challenges.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000 - $198,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
