Category Manager

Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is looking for a highly motivated, analytically minded professional to join its West business unit team.   

The role plays a valuable role by assisting in providing strategic, consultative category guidance to deliver market leading growth across KDP portfolio. This individual will conduct high quality analyses and synthesize multiple data sources to generate insights and actionable recommendations, while leveraging effective communication & influencing skills to orchestrate action within the Customer Facing teams. 

What you will do:

Develop and cultivate business relationships with the Commercialization team that establish KDP as the indispensable partner for all category management needsDeliver fully integrated consumer driven category leadership based on marketplace insights and trends to guide strategic choices and tactical executions.Conduct robust analysis using research, category management capabilities, analytical tools, and data visualization to identify and communicate business opportunities or challenges   Collaborate with multiple internal cross-functional teams and the customer facing teams on business opportunities and develop both strategic and tactical solutionsAssist in providing category management reporting, trend analysis, customized reports, and special project work for the KDP cross functional team and key stakeholdersLeverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize and anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting and translate insight into retail actionServe as the expert on all things category to cross-functional team members

Total Rewards Salary Range: $91,000 - $110,000 / year.Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factorsBenefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage ReimbursementAnnual bonus based on performance and eligibility Requirements Bachelor’s Degree requiredA minimum of 5 years of business experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) with a focus on category management (mandatory), business analytics and/or shopper insightsExtensive syndicated data knowledge with IRI and/or NielsenProficient in JDA Space Planning software and TableauExceptional communication skills – verbal, written & presentation and follow-throughStrength in leveraging facts and insights to build category shelving guidance with actionable recommendationsSuperior drive for results with demonstrated ability to build indispensable, collaborative partnerships with the customer and internal business partners, across functional teamsCapability to develop and influence strategies and tactics at both retailer and manufacturer, vertically and horizontallyHighly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)Travel: 15-20% Company Overview
