About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
The Category Manager for Aviation and Offshore Supply Vessels has responsibility to develop and leverage market insights to drive value via end-to-end category management to maximize value. This role is responsible for the Aviation [fixed wing aircraft and helicopters] and OSV [PSV, MPSV, tugs, etc] commercial strategies for Upstream Operations globally and Downstream operations.
What you will do
• Develops, implements and owns commercial category strategies and plans to deliver business value
• Stays abreast of market trends, develops and translates them into strategies and actions to drive value in the categories, shares market information with global networks
• Owns, benchmarks and stewards category metrics / KPIs
• Works with EM Aviation Service Advisors to align on aircraft acceptance
• Utilizes deep expertise in commercial tools/methods/analytics to develop and/or improve commercial strategies
• Develops negotiation plans, and supports contract owners in agreement negotiations where necessary
• Drives and communicates commercial guidance across organization
• Advises and mentors contract owners locally and globally in our Affiliates on how to incorporate strategies into contracts and bids
• Serves as liaison between Affiliate Procurement, Regional Logistics, and Global Logistics center of expertise to develop and align on ‘go to market’ approach for Aviation and OSV.
• Facilitates key supplier interfaces and supports SRM (supplier relationship management) with selected suppliers solely or jointly with other stakeholders when applicable
• Creates and maintains category tools to drive value
• Participates in Procurement category and business lines technical networks
• Supports agreement development (standardized templates, scopes of work, bid evaluations, compensation, etc.)
• Develops and owns large, complex agreements that are critical to the category (e.g. Global Master Agreements)
• Leverages Procurement processes and tools to ensure most effective procurement method is utilized
• Establishes and deploys category training plans
• Utilizes opportunity identification process to fill value pipeline
• Execute processes in full compliance with ExxonMobil controls culture
• Facilitates asset sharing opportunities across all logistics categories
About you
Skills and Qualifications
• BS, MBA, MS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within Procurement, Global Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations with emphasis on Aviation and/or OSV knowledge.
• Deep expertise and experience in implementing Category Management System framework
• Category / commodity expertise including understanding of key market players / dynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strategic thinking and relevant Supplier Relationship Management experience.
• Relevant negotiation experience, including terms & conditions negotiations, deep expertise in varying types of compensation approaches and commercial negotiations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in virtual teams across the global time zones.
• Initiative and drive to innovate and identify opportunities to drive value
• Procurement / commercial functional expertise
• 7-10 years of experience in/familiarity with Upstream Logistics operations and/or Corporate Aviation and/or OSV
• Deep understanding of Upstream affiliate structures and complexities & business, established relationships with upstream aviation, vessels suppliers and brokers are a plus
• Leadership skills/Communication skills
• Analytical skills / understanding of total system cost, should-cost concepts
• Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
• Project planning / execution skills
