Job Summary: The Category Manager, Capital Equipment, has responsibility for strategic category leadership and leading negotiations for Capital Equipment purchases for the entire organization. Due to the nature of this role, this position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule, with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
Responsibilities: Responsible for strategy development, execution of Procurement processes and supplier relationship managementDevelop & implement multi-year category strategies with goals to increase spend with preferred suppliersDevelop relationships and communication strategies with internal partners to identify business needs and align supply base to achieve strategic directionResponsible for building and managing strategic supplier relationships through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovationProvide leadership and oversight of the sourcing process to ensure spend is awarded to provide the maximum valueLead the development and negotiation of contracts through the contract lifecycle maximizing value while minimizing riskPartner with Regional and Global Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity and cost avoidance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fieldMBA or advanced degree preferred7+ years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.Sourcing experience in the development and management of a global supply base is requiredExperience within indirect sourcing is preferred5+ years of experience in Category ManagementDemonstrated success includes supplier development across regions, responsibility for high-level negotiations, leading multi-functional projectsStrong analytics experienceLean experience beneficialKey Competencies:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Expected travel requirements are 10%.Base Pay Range: $90,000 - $125,000
