Primary Purpose The Indirect Category Manager is responsible for their assigned spend categories, including the associated suppliers, internal stakeholders and the Category strategy. Must display leadership and be proficient at project management to drive Category initiatives which have a significant financial impact for specific functional areas or assigned spend categories. Essential Functions Create and implement the category and supplier management strategies including supplier base management for assigned indirect categories. Collaborate internally with cross-function stakeholders and with external suppliers to develop innovative business solutions. Drive improvements in procurement process and own compliance associated with procurement operations. Deliver cost savings, supplier rationalization and increase of spend under contract according to strategy. Develop involvement with key stakeholders when implementing strategy, communicating results and targets and being a proactive business partner. Create and leverage strong business and professional relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players to influence their supply chain capabilities, efficiency, and effectiveness Establish and monitor KPIs for cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction, using data-driven insights to continuously improve procurement outcomes. Leverage program and project management tools and techniques to provide oversight, guidance, and drive project execution. Efficiently solve problems and make decisions for primary and strategic execution and tactical issues within the relevant portfolio of projects and or processes. Lead cross-functional teams through intentional mentorship and development motivating their assigned team and positively influencing their peer group. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications EDUCATION Min/Preferred Education Level Description Preferred 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in sourcing, procurement, business, or a similar area EXPERIENCE Minimum Years of Experience Maximum Years of Experience Comments 5 Strategic sourcing, procurement, or operational management ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Proven track record in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in roles with indirect spend. Wide range industry knowledge and understanding of sourcing dynamics for travel, subcontracting, facility items and IT is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for significant cost savings. Collaborative mindset with a focus on cross-functional alignment. Demonstrated leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills with proven experience in the application of best practices for procurement. Strong oral and written communication skills. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft office and procurement software and tools. Proactive, well-organized, and results-oriented with the ability to lead and participate in multiple. projects simultaneously to achieve operational excellence. Experience effectively managing multiple competing projects and deadlines. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
