We are looking for a Category Manager - Infrastructure who is strategic, adaptable and collaborative to join our Procurement Department, based in our UCB campus located in Braine-l'alleud, Belgium

 

About the role

You will be responsible for a specific spend area of Patient Supply and for handling end-to-end sourcing operations and contract management in strict alignment with all UCB applicable processes, procedures and code of conduct, strategies.

 

Who you’ll work with

You will report into the Category Lead Infrastructure. You’ll also collaborate with business partners from Patient Supply, Finance, Legal and Sustainability Corporate Affairs & Risk.

 

What you’ll do

Develop end-to-end best-in-class sourcing strategies for a defined procurement portfolio and proactively manages the supplier base, in alignment with the Category Lead strategy for the spend area.Create, plan, lead, and conduct strategic sourcing and value creation initiatives that improve quality and secure supply, resulting in cost savings across functional units and the UCB supply network.Provide significant external supplier and market knowledge for the category.Champion commercial excellence, leads commercial negotiations, and develops Master agreements to ensure the best value for UCB.Ensure that partnerships with strategic vendors or within the category are well-established to achieve quality, supply resilience, value creation, and innovation targets.Leverage external partnerships and collaborate with UCB leaders to support UCB’s growth ambition, understand and influence market trends, and advocate for best-in-class innovative ideas to address unmet business needs.Comply with existing regulatory requirements and guidelines for all GxP activities.Act as a role model for ethical behavior and compliance, ensuring that everything we do aligns with UCB values.

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

Fluent in English & FrenchMasters Degree or above in related field.Pharma Procurement or Facilities Management Experience
