About the role
We are looking for a Category Manager Logistics Sourcing to manage complex RFQs and be involved in strategic projects related to sourcing and logistics, with exposure to vast level of interaction, from Operations to Management
Key Responsibilities include
Contract third party logistic service providers
Prepare and run tenders for the categories in scope, dealing with all relevant stakeholders (service providers, internal customers and cross functional teams)
Collect data, complete market research, define terms and conditions, negotiate proposals and finalize contracts
Manage service providers, follow market trends and legislative changes
Provide input and expertise in all relevant improvement and development projects (footprint analysis, make or buy, cost efficiency, etc.)
Implement purchasing policy and best practices
About you
University Degree
Significant experience (minimum 6 years) in transportation purchasing/sourcing in Indirect Spend areas.
English written and spoken fluently, any other language is a plus.
Experience in Project Management.
Relevant skills in purchasing: negotiation, supplier management, and procurement.
Strong analytical capabilities in order to manage cost analysis, budgets, and reports.
Solid market knowledge of different areas within logistics (land, sea, warehousing).
Operational knowledge of different areas within Logistic / Supply Chain & Procurement: transportation by land, sea, warehousing, distribution networks, and complex logistics systems is a plus.
Experience with e-Procurement platforms is an asset.
Some travel will be required.
