Category Merchandising Analyst
As the Merchandising Analyst, you’ll be responsible for the curation of service, warranty or
repair categories across our omnichannel businesses, including e-commerce, retail and in-home sales. You’ll work with peers and leaders to deliver business results by performing a wide variety of functions. You will be responsible for conducting analysis of category performance and industry trends, and providing business recommendations on assortment, pricing, promotional planning, customer experience and vendor management.

This role is hybrid which means you will work some days onsite at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team.  The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

For this role, you must be located within a drivable distance to our office in Richfield, Minnesota.

What you’ll do
 Participate in weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviewsAnalyze key business metrics and provide recommendations and support for the category by pulling and interpreting reporting dataCreate in-store signage, promotions and bundlesCollaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams on products, pricing and promotional
plansPartner with operational teams to investigate and resolve customer and/or systems issuesTracks and provides updates on supplier support for financial planning purposes 
Basic Qualifications
 Basic data analysis skillsAdvanced written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced attention to detail and organizational skillsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Most importantly Excel and Powerpoint)1 or more years of previous big box retail experienceMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
 Preferred Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience1 year of experience performing data analysis1 year of experience communicating and partnering with vendors or third-party partners1 year of experience in merchandise planning, retail, service operations, site merchandising, demand planning or supply chain
