Amazon Music is looking for an experienced, results-driven Category Merchant Manager (CMM)/ Brand Protections Lead to help shape the future of our third-party marketplace and uphold our intellectual property protection for our growing music merchandise business.
Our ideal candidate is a driven, strategic, customer-centric leader with experience with a demonstrated track record and ownership of successful project management, juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines, and using data to identify and prioritize opportunities. They are analytical, enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and have strong writing skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and influence at all levels of the organization.
As part of connecting artists with their fans, you will manage the entire portfolio of third-party merchant accounts, onboard new accounts, drive revenue growth and traffic, and conduct regular business analysis and reporting. You will manage the artist brand protection program to build an extraordinary customer experience. This entails working cross functionally with multiple teams to protect intellectual property and launch innovative brand protections with our technology teams.
Key job responsibilities
The Category Merchant Manager will have several key responsibilities within the 3rd party Marketplace side of the business, including:
• Category strategy and ownership: Work closely with Category Leadership on planning and developing a business strategy, drive best-in-class customer experience, and maximize revenue growth through timely analysis and action.
• Seller management: Identify and lead new Seller partnerships, manage key Sellers on an ongoing basis and enhance the overall Seller experience with better self-service and reporting resources.
• Project management: Automate and scale the category level growth via new selection, product listing quality and instock opportunities via Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). Partner with technology teams to drive automation and scalability across the worldwide organization. Projects enhance our merchant experience and improve site merchandising, customer, and site experience.
• Trend analysis: Develop a thorough understanding of the Music Merch business and current trends and key events through networking across the Amazon Music team and staying connected to industry and customer trends.
This role will also be responsible for ensuring customers make great purchase decisions and brand owners and sellers using Amazon are successful listing and selling their products. The right candidate will possess a global view of their business and think in terms of immediate problem solving but also automating, expanding, and scaling solutions broadly.- Some of these key responsibilities will include:
• Work across Brand Protection teams to improve brand protections through policy changes, new processes and tools.
• Contribute to the development of scalable models and tools that speed up both decisions making and accuracy for the Amazon Music Merch organization.
