Procurement Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will be mainly accountable for:1.\tFor global category sourcing parts, can provide professional advice to global category manager for strategy making/optimizing, implements effective sourcing strategies in line with global sourcing strategy ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Ensures all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. 2.\tFor local category sourcing parts, make sourcing strategy independently, evaluate and develop the supply base. Introduce new suppliers as appropriate to meet the current and future needs of the business.3.\tManages planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines. 4.\tParticipating in the contract negotiation of the global suppliers together with the GCM, and leading the contract negotiations of the local suppliers5.\tAdapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Provides ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers. 6.\tEnsures identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with Company policies. Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines. 7.\tContributes and participates in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensures the responsible category sourcing performance targets are achieved.8.\tDefine & constant improvement of value chain with focus to shorten lead time and optimize logistic processes, considering total cost.9.\tClose cooperation with purchasing team to support capacity planning and scalability / flexibility planning.10.\tDefine and reach targets for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation in the responsible category.11.\tWork with Quality and SQE to improve supplier performance (OTD, PPM, lead time etc.) and manage and monitor the supplier portfolio and develop supplier to build right supply base. 12.\tIdentifying, tracking and implementing cost saving actions and push VA/VE project to meet the cost targets for the category.

Qualifications for the role

1.\tBachelor or Master in engineering or commercial or similar degree. 2.\tMinimum 6 years sourcing related working experience.3.\tGood knowledge in the Stator/Copper/insulation/accessary category would be preferred.4.\tRailway or off-road vehicle industry would be preferred.5.\tExcellent knowledge in sourcing methods; supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge.6.\tExcellent communication, cooperation and influencing skills when working with different senior level roles internally and externally with different suppliers.7.\tContinuous improvement mindset with a business-driven and fact base on approach towards suppliers with a focus on building long-term relationship.8.\tFluent English in both speaking and writing.9.\tAbility to handle complexity and work under pressure, travel sometimes at short notice.10.\tMicrosoft office/SAP experience will be plus.
