C.H. Robinson is seeking a Category Specialist to build relationships to improve the supply chain as you execute the daily operations within our mango category. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, interacting daily with grower/shippers and internal sales teams to communicate critical market intelligence. Your expertise in the category will help generate sales and enhance the customer experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Communicates with suppliers daily to understand quality, yields, pricing, and productionProactively shares commodity and market information to commercial team, enabling confident sales and growthSupports transactional, promotional, and contract pricing recommendationsMaintains grower/supplier relationships and continually assist in ways to improve their performance using dataUnderstands the customer base, to include product specifications and order patternsAligns the right supply to the right customers, and communicate packing instructions to suppliersOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 2 years of fresh produce experience in category (Mangos)

Ability to travel up to 5% (domestically and internationally)

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

Excellent relationship building skills with customers, growers, and internal teams

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Able to negotiate effectively with suppliers

Great attitude, with a desire to contribute, learn, and grow professionally

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions

Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, sometimes out of normal business hours

Attention to detail with high standards for work; a customer service mindset

Compensation Range

$23.56 - $36.73
