Global Procurement Manager, Power Protection Business

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager for batteries or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will evaluate quotations for Batteries or Energy Storage Systems according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, customer requests and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. The work model for the role is: hybrid and/or remoteThis role is contributing to the Global Product Group Power Protection, Electrification Smart Power, globally. Main stakeholders are Agile Team Battery and Energy Storage Systems, Local Procurement Organizations including ones within Local Sales and Sales.You will be mainly accountable for:• Supporting the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional/global category leader.• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists and terms and conditions, to be prompted communicated to local organizations.• Running benchmark studies for the Category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.• Creating global/local contract agreements and updates/maintains existing frame contracts, storing them under the e-platform such as SAP ARIBA.You will join an international, dynamic, talented, and result oriented team, driven by an innovative market where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Degree in Engineering, Energetics or Electrics or Industrial is required. You enjoy working with the main Battery Manufacturers and Energy Storage Systems Providers; you know the relevant potentials and dynamics of this market. You are familiar with the UPS applications. You can demonstrate your experience in dealing with different type of Battery’s suppliers and their different commercial attitudes. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of UPS or Batteries is required. You have an enhanced knowledge of Procurement techniques and tools, you have also a sale attitude. You are passionate about new energy storage applications, UPS, AI but also Macro economic trends and risks. You do not have travel restrictions. You are at ease communicating in English, Chinese will be a plus.
