Category Strategist Paypoints
Job Location: Minneapolis, MN * Summary:* The Category Strategist Center Store & Paypoints will leverage insights and the category management toolkit to meet and exceed Hershey and customer's financial objectives. The Category Strategist will be an expert in the pervasive application of insights to fuel growth and drive thought leadership in the aisle and at the point of purchase. Key to the role is synthesizing business trends, competitive trends, shopper insights, financial insights, and Hershey gold standards to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive conversion and guest satisfaction across the entire shopping journey, including brick-and-mortar and the digital shelf. * Responsibilities:* Acts as the category expert to support the customer in executing strategic business plans to hit Joint Business goals for topline sales, net sales, margin, digital penetration, and category share targets. Guides and Consults with the broader customer team to uncover insights and build action plans to drive profitable market share growth. Effectively penetrates internal and external stakeholders horizontally and vertically to align on category initiatives. Act as the indispensable strategic partner, driving projects to achieve Hershey and customer's financial objectives. Uncover potential growth opportunities for both the category and Hershey. Display powerful storytelling ability to bring initiatives to life through traditional category management tools including, but not limited to, JDA, IRI syndicated data platform, Numerator, and external resources, to ensure the execution and support of strategic business plan. Drive best-in-class digital execution to accelerate our penetration and be the conduit to improve the digital shelf in partnership with the customer Site Merch Team by influencing search, item attribution, digital shelf architecture, and category white space opportunities. Collaborate with the internally at Hershey to advance reporting, space planning, and process capabilities to create team efficiencies. * Qualifications:* * Education:* Bachelor's Degree Required • 3-5 years of Consumer Product Sales and/or Category Management • Experience in JDA Space Management • Ability to build dynamic relationships with the customer across business units • Technical Skills, Analysis & Problem Assessment • Proven abilities in the art of capturing the audience through Storytelling • Team player who will work across desks during crunch times #LI-AM1 The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
