We are currently looking for a Category Support Specialist to join us at our facility in Asturias, Spain.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Category Support Specialist (Sourcing Specialist) to join our dynamic procurement team. The Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in the strategic sourcing and procurement activities of the company, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Support Category Management with tactical activities.
- Take charge of price administration and SAP maintenance.
- Develop and maintain productive relationship with both suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Resolve invoice blockage, ensuring on-time payment
- Execution of end-to-end purchasing process.
- Resolve disconnects within the order to pay process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
- Identifying and executing cost-savings opportunities
- Prepare and analyze sourcing reports, metrics, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline sourcing processes and enhance efficiency.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
- Unquestioned ethics and integrity including the ability to work on confidential matters
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the coatings, chemicals, or manufacturing industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
