Description:
Responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverage to Guests at all banquet functions, according to the Hotel standards. Serve Guests in an efficient and courteous professional manner, greet Guests with a smile and anticipate their needs throughout the event. Perform tasks and side work duties to ensure that Guests are served promptly and efficiently. Ability to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function to be able to give Guests accurate descriptions upon request. Respond to Guest problems, complaints, and accidents and communicate to management, if necessary. Prepare the room according to BEO and the various meal functions, set all tables according to Hotel standards and clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly while maintaining the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner and stock it with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions. Responsible for performing other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Prior experience required. Must have excellent communication skills. Work in a fast paced environment. Be able to stand during the entire banquet function. Have a sense of urgency and react to changing business demands. Respond to visual and aural cues. Present a well-groomed appearance. Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to lift full trays over shoulder level. Handle tray full of dishes, clear tables and seat Guests when necessary. Must be able to obtain required work cards.
