The responsibilities of the Catering Sales & Event Manager include, but are not limited to:
Promote sales in their established markets through telephone solicitation and outside sales calls, rebooking repeat business.
Have a working knowledge of all systems, reports, room capabilities and forms used in the sales office. Assist with other areas as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing and/or Director of Food & Beverage.
Previous hotel sales experience preferred.
An aggressive, outgoing personality is necessary.
Proven record of independent, self-motivated work habits required.
Previous selling experience, knowledge of the catering banquets, detail events and create BEO’s.
Must have the ability to aggressively pursue and book catering business for the hotel.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
Must be computer literate.
Previous experience with Delphi and Opera a plus.
