Park Lane New York, situated on Billionaires’ Row – home to the world’s most coveted addresses on
Central Park South – has been completely reimagined as a departure from its neighbors and serves as a
unique and inclusive retreat within walking distance of the city’s cultural hubs including Lincoln Center,
Carnegie Hall, 5th Avenue shopping, and the Museum of Modern Art. The 47-story property features 610
rooms – nearly half of which provide sweeping park-facing views – and 11,000 square feet of reimagined
indoor and outdoor event space. A fitness center perched on the fifth floor offers state-of-the-art
equipment and its own separate outdoor terrace. The reimagined hotel features three new food & beverage venues throughout the hotel including an 80-seat lobby bar with an outdoor promenade, an intimate restaurant on the hotel’s second floor, and CentralPark South’s only rooftop lounge atop the hotel. Perched on the 47th floor, the cocktail bar will treat guests to a one-of-a-kind experience against the backdrop of Manhattan's sprawling skyline and park.

 

Overview

Park Lane New York is seeking a candidate to join our dynamic team. This role secures and services “Catering/Event Sales” business from the social markets through active and effective promotion, solicitation, and prospecting, while maintaining Park Lane New York standards and maximizing revenue/profit potential. The role requires creativity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure. The manager must balance client expectations with the hotel’s financial goals, addressing challenges as they arise to ensure successful outcomes. By fostering collaboration among teams and delivering personalized service, they play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences and maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities What you will doClient Relationship Management: Develop and maintain trusted client relationships, understanding their needs to deliver exceptional service that secures repeat business and referrals.Event Planning and Coordination: Oversee all aspects of event planning, from menu selection and logistical arrangements to staffing and event setup, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to Park Lane New York standards.Sales and Revenue Generation: Generate new business leads, negotiate contracts, and close catering sales for events. Upsell and cross-sell services to optimize revenue across all food & beverage outlets.Banquet Event Orders (BEOs): Develop and manage BEOs and Resumes, ensuring accurate communication of event details to all departments involved.
Financial Management: Create cost estimates, manage budgets, and coordinate billing with the accounting team. Ensure profitability while meeting client expectations and maintaining high standards.Vendor and Department Collaboration: Work closely with Culinary, Banquet, Reservations, and Front Desk teams to ensure flawless event coordination. Manage relationships with third-party vendors and oversee load-in and event breakdown.Quality Assurance and Post-Event Follow-up: Conduct post-event evaluations and collect feedback to assess client satisfaction and enhance future event planning. Participate in daily and weekly meetings to report on event updates and client needs.

What you bring

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a luxury or luxury/lifestyle hotel.Skills: Proficiency in Delphi, Microsoft Office Suite, and strong familiarity with event planning software. Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.Language: Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.Personal Attributes: A proactive, detail-oriented relationship builder with a passion for hospitality and high standards of service.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic catering manager to join our team and help to deliver the highest quality of service to our guests. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting, contracting, producing, and overseeing catering events.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle event inquires, prospecting, proposals, negotiations and contracting according to procedureSolicit new and existing catering accounts and opportunities including entertaining, attending industry functions, and maintaining relationshipsSchedule site visits and walk throughs with clients and aid assistance walk -in clientsGuide clients with appropriate food and beverage selections, room layout, décor, and audio-visual needs as it pertains to each eventManagement of eventsGenerating banquet event orders and floor plansCoordinate event details with the culinary, banquets and outlet teams to ensure successful eventsGenerating a summary of charges for the client and making sure that payment is received for both the deposit and final payment prior to the eventInputting of the food and beverage figures into Delphi to assist in the budget and the projection for the yearResponsible for meeting and exceeding established goals Qualifications A minimum of two years of experience in a sales or catering office capacityBachelor's degree in hospitality a plusKnowledge of Delphi is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication, organization, ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and a professional appearance is requiredMust be proactive, self-motivated and an excellent team playerHigh energy and positive attitudeStrong problem-solving skillsGood time management skillsStrong communications skillsKnowledge of overall hotel operations and how they affect each department

Salary Range: $75K - $80K annually
