The 123-room Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is the company’s second destination in Japan, in the city’s historic Higashiyama-ku district, close to the Kyoto National Museum and myriad heritage sites such as the Toyokuni Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. Local artists are featured throughout the traditionally-inspired modern décor characterised by an understated Japanese aesthetic. The Hotel has a spa and fitness centre with a pool, and four food and beverage concepts. There are also be 57 Four Seasons Private Residences.Justification
The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is looking for an Catering Sales Manager. Candidates with passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons. As a member of the Sales & Marketing Division, the Catering Sales Manager works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.
Responsibilities
Catering Sales Manager leads and manages all sales operations and oversees activities of the junior catering sales team. The key objective is to grow incremental and new sales for the business while simultaneously reducing customer turnover. Also works closely with those departments which Front Office, Food & Beverage and finance and other sales teams for the purpose of ensuring the delivery of experience.
•Developing and sustaining customer relationships based on an understanding of customer needs and actions consistent with company values.
•Supporting the Director of Catering and leadership in the creation and review of catering sales reports.
•Coach the team to help improving and generating more revenue.
•Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
•Catering Sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are met by holding daily check-ins with team to set objectives for the day and monitor progress regularly
•Assist with the training of incoming Catering Sales Executive and Coordinator working within the venue Special Event department and serve as their mentor.
•Ensure all local and corporate policies, rules, internal controls and procedures and safeguards.
•Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Catering.
•Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
•Targets group accounts, markets or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
•Identifies, qualifies and solicits new accounts with a focus on increasing business.
•Strives to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
•Closes the best opportunities for each property based on market conditions and individual property needs.
•Identifies and develops new markets.
