Position Summary:
The Cardiovascular Technologist/Technician is responsible for monitoring of physiologic data received during cardiac catheterization: performs the technical aspects of cardiac catheterization; and assists the physician during the procedure. The Technologist III designation requires that the technologist has attained competency in the duties required for Tech II, and that they have completed training to support Vascular Procedures in the OR and are taking call in support of that service.
Education:
Must have completed Radiologic Technologist training and be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Also must be registered with the Texas Department of State Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program.
Training and Experience:
The Technologist III will have a minimum of one year experience in Cath Lab. Proficient in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic tracings. BLS thru required within 90 days of hire.
