CCPA - Director of Assessment
**Description** A.T. Still University's Central Coast Physician Assistant Program (ATSU-CCPA) is seeking a full-time exempt Director of Assessment on the Santa Maria, California campus. The person in this position will assist the Program Director in the analysis, design, development, organization, storage, implementation, and maintenance of the accreditation data and assessment elements required for the program’s self-study process. They will also assist the didactic team in evaluating and implementing assessment measures that are utilized as a part of the curriculum to evaluate student learning and faculty effectiveness. **Major Duties & Responsibilities:** + Analyze, design, develop, implement, and maintain program assessment components. + Participate in monthly Program Self-Study Committee meetings. + Assist faculty in the appropriate interpretation and critical analysis of program-related assessment data. + Assist in the creation and implementation of curriculum-based student and faculty assessment tools. + Other duties as assigned. **Program Assessment/Self Study:** + Support overall assessment efforts in the PA Department by providing logistical support in preparation, scheduling, collection of data, and conduct of program assessment under the supervision of the Department Chair. + Work collaboratively with PA faculty and administration to facilitate the Program assessment/self-study processes. + Track assessment/self-study projects across the PA Department. + Manage Department software programs to support ongoing operations and assessment of the Program. + Manage curriculum mapping data to university guidelines and program guidelines. + Ensure program self-study data is regularly and systematically collected and compiled. + Work collaboratively with others to develop and share data in support of accreditation efforts and ongoing process improvement. + Support the Department Chair in designing and implementing assessment initiatives, and analyzing findings for improvement. **Student Assessment:** + Develop and prepare the assessment instructions. + Manage databases (internal & externally owned) for student data throughout matriculation. + Manage examination database, examination creation, group assignments, exam proctoring, and technical support for exams. + Create and send instructor-specific test item performance analysis reports. + Creation and distribution of surveys, follow-up, and tracking for graduates, course, and instructor survey reports. + Assist with the creation of LMS course shells, scheduling of classes, and grade reporting as needed. + Other Duties at the direction of the Department Chair. **Education & Experience:** + Master’s degree required; doctoral degree _preferred_ in an area relevant to data analysis and interpretation, survey research, qualitative and quantitative statistical analyses. + 2-3 years relevant experience using Excel, training in survey development and data analysis, and data reporting tools such as SQL Reporting Services. + The ability to analyze a system problem and uncover the root cause of the issue. + Full project lifecycle development. + Solid written and verbal communication skills. + The ability to juggle multiple projects at one time. The salary range for this position is 67,800.00 to 101,700.00 based on experience. ATSU offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverages, among more.
