Embark your transformative journey as Lead Developer in Counterpart Credit Risk. The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (“BCBS”) published new recommendations for setting the capital requirements for the banking sector, commonly dubbed “Basel IV”. The new regulation will include reforms in the standardized approach for credit risk, the IRB-approach, the quantification of CVA risk and operational risk approaches, enhancements to leverage ratio framework and finalization of output floor. The lead developer in this role is responsible for planning and executing the design & development of components of our strategic platform. This will include working alongside business and analysts to drill down into these recommended reforms, employ scaled agile methodology to iteratively build, test and deploy strategic features and components which then allows bank to be compliant with these standards.
To be successful as VP lead developer, you should have extensive experience with:
C# or Python experience spent in OO development (the key is strong OO server side development, particularly of distributed systems) along with micro-services design and development. Extensive experience with SQL Server and TSQL. Experience with devops/automation implementation (CI/CD)/ TDD & BDD. Building high performance applications that process large volume of data.Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodology and software development approach.Strong experience in leading development function for medium to large multi-year programmes in Banking/Finance domain.Experience in coordinating and working with multi-location delivery teams, along with strong experience in stakeholder management.Experience in working in scaled agile delivery model.Preferred Qualifications: Degree in numerate subject (e.g. maths, computer science etc).Some other highly valued skills may include.
Prior working experience in regulatory projects around Risk.Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
