What You Will Do:
Tractor-Trailer Chemical Delivery.Delivery only within a 500 to 700-mile radius from plant location.Safely operate vehicles to include (not limited to) delivery trucks, tank trunks, over-the-road trucksMaintain driver's hours of service by using Samsara and/or paper logbook reporting Schedule daily runs to meet customer delivery requirementsMaintain truck and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspectionsResponsible for accurate up-to-date delivery location maps, and operates in accordance with DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with homeland security requirements and guidelinesMaintain regular communication with sales and Supervisor to report field problems and/or safety hazardsFollow Zero Defect Delivery procedures for all delivery assignmentsAlways wear appropriate safety gear during delivery operationsKeep current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skillsRecognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environmentMinimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalentClass A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), no restrictions with HazMat & Tanker3 years of commercial driving experience, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations from the past 3 years required3 years of an acceptable motor vehicle recordBe willing to travel 3-5 days per week, home on Weekends and HolidaysHave the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.No immigration sponsorship offered for this rolePreferred Qualifications:
Experience operating forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers, and gaugeExperience handling products in various types of packages including bulk, drums, Porta-Feeds and mini/micro-feed unitsAbility to back and parallel park bulk tankers, straight trucks, semi-trucks and trailers into narrow passages through expensive industrial equipmentKnowledge of equipment, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materialsAs a trusted partner, your customers will rely on you for their success.
