We are currently looking to hire a CDL A Driver.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Commercial driver experience. Previous Hazmat experience. Roll-off experience. 120-barrel Vac-Tanker experience. Ability to operate manual transmission. Previous manual labor experience. Well organized. Lab-Pack / Loose Pack, Waste segregation experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Punctual, on-time. Valid Class A CDL Hazmat and Tanker endorsement. Ability to use various mobile devices. Perform physical functions per job requirements. Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position. Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards. Read and write in English. Properly fill out and complete necessary paperwork daily with no errors. Understand and use ELD. Team player. Flexible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner. Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps) Operate a variety of Class A trucks. loading and unloading trucks. Manual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needs. Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations. Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports. Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements. Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Good attitude.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred. Current California Class B Commercial Driver License, required. Class A preferred. Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required. Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, required. 40-hour HAZWOPER required. 2 – 5 years of experience in heavy equipment driving and operation required. 1 – 5 years of hazardous waste control and environmental services industry experience preferred.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Strong attention to detail with a distraction-free driving style. Comprehensive understanding of logistics systems. Safety conscious.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Pull/push 50 lbs. unassisted on a frequent daily basis. Twist and turn in full range of motion in arms, hands, torso, neck, back, and legs on a frequent daily basis. Lift/carry 50 lbs. unassisted on a frequent daily basis. Typing/data entry on a frequent daily basis Equipment used: industrial cleaning and heavy equipment Exposed to all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
Salary Range: $32.00- $35.00
