JOB TITLE: CDL Driver

\nJOB TYPE\n\n\tFull Time\n\n
\nJOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n\tPerform daily routes depending on the weekly schedule determined by manager.\n\tOperate a CDL trailer to deliver commercial tires/wheels as well as other items to customers.\n\tMust maintain a safe and clean driving record.\n\tResponsible for executing client delivery schedules, proper loading and unloading, and obtaining signed paperwork to provide to Snider branches, etc.\n\tResponsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment inventory levels on tractor-trailer and on person.\n\tMaintain an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) detailing the hours traveled, rest periods, miles/distance covered, verifying logs weekly, and reporting any errors to the Branch Manager for correction, as well as fuel, repair, toll, and/or other expenses.\n\tEffectively communicate any traffic violations, accidents, breakdowns, or delays in route to management and customers.\n\tConduct pre and post trip inspections, to ensure that all mechanical systems are operating properly.\n\tReview orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the changes are correct.\n\tMaintain safe procedures while operating a company vehicle.\n\tMust follow and comply with all DOT regulations.\n\tAssist in loading and unloading the product on the trucks.\n\tEnsures deliveries are timely.\n\tAdheres to McCarthy Tire Service policies and standards.\n\tMust have excellent driving aptitude for both manual and automatic vehicles.\n\tLearn and maintain all PM’s and ensure daily performance check on vehicle.\n\tAlways home daily.\n\n

\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\n\n\n\tHigh School degree or GED.\n\n
\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n\n\tAt least 1 year of delivery driving experience within the last 3 years.\n\tClass A or B license, depending on class of vehicle.\n\tValid driver’s license.\n\tMust have clean MVR, Drug Test, and pass the DOT physical.\n\tFlexibility in schedule.\n\tMinimum 18 years of age.\n\tLift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.\n\n
