CDL Class A Driver

We are hiring immediately and offering the following: Shift: 1st Shift Full-time - 5am start time Schedule: Tuesday-Friday (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off) Local Deliveries - Home Every Night Prior touch freight experience is required Pay: Starting at $30 per hour. After training is complete, pay will range from $90,000-$110,000 (depending on route and experience). Off on Major Holidays (8 Total) Must be 21 Year of Age Must have Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (1-year minimum experience) Benefits: Medical (default plan free to employees, spouse, and dependents), Dental and Vision (available first of the month following 30 days of employment), Vacation Pay, Paid Holidays, and 401k with Company match (after 60 days of employment) Pay Transparency Statement:  The compensation philosophy reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting.  We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.  This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rule governing the program.  Position Summary:  Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to our customers.   Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle Use Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as an electric pallet jack and/or hand truck Maneuver vehicle and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles Unload and deliver products to our customer utilizing various methodologies that may include manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environments Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnel Complete delivery and pick up paperwork Pick up returned product as required Collect company assets to include payments, carts, pallets, etc. Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle Complete company training and certifications as required Effectively communicate and maintain contact with shift supervisor, dispatch, and/or co-workers Other projects or duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Must have at least 1 year Class A commercial driving experience or equivalent driving experience in the military Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record in compliance with DOT requirements Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Must be able to pass a post-offer background, DOT Physical and drug test  Preferred Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Customer service experience Experience with a handheld ordering device and working in a multi-temperature environment Stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading experience Foodservice distribution, grocery store, or beverage delivery experience Physical Demands and Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
