As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

As a Driver, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

You will contribute by:

Drive a tractor-trailer (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver dry groceries to retail customers. Strive to provide a positive customer experience by completing the delivery with professionalism.Driver is responsible for making an average of 3 stops per day (with possible overnight). At point of delivery, Driver is responsible for unload and driver assistance. Pallets can consist of all types of products with a range of pallet height and pallet weight. Whenever possible, backhauls will be added where and when possible.For specific customers, Drivers will be required to count cases as well as pallet verification upon deliveryAbility to maneuver truck into loading or unloading position in tight urban areas. Ability to operate trailer lift gate in a safe manner (company will train and certify as needed) for curbside deliveriesIn accordance with I.C.C. regulations, effective use of electronic logging equipment (People Net), conduct Pre-trip and Post-Trip vehicle inspections for equipment condition reportingPosition is union representedTravel Required: Yes
