Position Purpose
*Based in Los Angeles, CA area*
The CHEP CDL Class A Transport Driver will execute full and multiple-stop truckload deliveries and collections daily utilizing Class A equipment (Tractor/Trailer). They will be responsible for route and volume optimization by developing customer and internal support partnerships. They will be actively involved in developing and implementing key growth components of the CHEP LVR Program, including partnering with multiple internal functions, building and executing project plans, and leading teammates through new processes.
Major/Key Accountabilities
Primarily operate a CHEP-leased semi-truck and trailer, and secondarily operate a CHEP-leased box truck in compliance with all DOT Regulations and CHEP Safety requirements.
Demonstrate efficient planning and critical thinking to execute deliveries and collections at pre-determined locations.
Maintain responsibility for all equipment's safe and legal operation, including scheduling preventive maintenance and repairs, passing inspections, and timely damage reporting.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with local customers, service centers, and repair shops by ensuring program compliance, which drives efficiencies and increases collection volume.
Record all delivery and pick-up information and communicate with CHEP LVR support staff via email, phone, tablets, and CHEP-approved applications.
Visit potential collection locations to explain the CHEP LVR Program and gather data/information to add locations to the customer base.

Qualifications
Class A DOT Driver License
Minimum 2 years Tractor-Trailer driving experience
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card with no restrictions
Ability to hook and unhook trailers from tractors
Willing to lift 65 lbs. on an as needed basis
Able to execute and optimize provided delivery/collection routes
Able to develop relationships with new customers
