Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

Oversee daily operations of the crew on telecommunications construction sites. Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure the team meets deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards. Train and mentor crew members to ensure consistent performance and professional development. Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce compliance with safety protocols, and address any hazards promptly.

Project Management:

Coordinate with project managers to review project plans, schedules, and objectives. Monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to maintain timelines and budgets. Ensure materials, equipment, and personnel are available to meet project demands. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including supervisors, clients, and team members.

Driving and Equipment Responsibilities:

Safely operate CDL-class commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and crew members to and from job sites. Assist in operating and maintaining heavy equipment, such as excavators, trenchers, and loaders, when needed. Ensure proper care, maintenance, and safe operation of all vehicles and equipment.

General Duties:

Support hands-on tasks, including trenching, backfilling, and laying conduit, as required. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Complete and submit daily logs, progress reports, and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required. License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A required. Clean driving record. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications or construction, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Strong understanding of telecommunications construction methods, equipment operation, and safety regulations. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints. Strong organizational and time management skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Availability to work overtime and travel short-term as needed.
