A little about the position: CDL Truck Driver
Job Summary
Safely transporting and delivering fiberglass pools and other supplies from the distribution center to pool installation locations. Latham drivers are often home the same day after completing deliveries or the next day and pride themselves on providing a professional and customer-centric experience.
Some of What You Will Do:
+ Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
+ Safely and securely load and deliver oversize fiberglass pools and spas
+ Perform Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports prior to and following each trip; ensure vehicle is kept clean. Maintain vehicle as needed (refuel, tire pressure, etc). Report any issues to management for maintenance and repair
+ Check weather conditions and road reports before departure. Make safety a priority at all times and drive according to the weather/road conditions
+ Notify managers of any delivery issues encountered
+ Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs including Hours of Service through Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
+ Ensure compliance with all Company policy and procedures as well as Department of Transportation and state regulations and vehicle and traffic laws
+ Stay on permitted route and ensure timely deliveries while prioritizing safety
+ Obtain signed Bill of Ladings for delivered goods. Assist Shipping Manager to ensure payment is up to date before customer takes possession of product(s)
+ Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic/roadside inspection violations, near misses, injuries and/or damage to the vehicles immediately
+ Successfully complete all required trainings timely included but not limited to defensive driving training
+ Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
+ Must be at least 21 years of age
+ Possess a current Class A CDL
+ Two years commercial driving experience to include experience with Flatbed, Drop Deck, and Mini float trailers; Oversize (width) hauling experience preferred
+ Must meet Latham Pool Product driving record criteria
+ Ability to drive a standard transmission
+ Ability to read, write and speak English
+ Must be able to meet pre-employment qualifications by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
+ Must successfully pass drug screen upon offer and subject to random drug testing during employment
+ Ability to travel overnight and sometimes several nights

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
