Date Posted: 2025-02-05 Country: Singapore Location: 10 Loyang Crescent, Singapore Position Role Type: Unspecified What You Will Do + Drive repair operations process with a focus in welding and plasma spray to provide technical expertise in its repair machines and equipment to drive efficiency and innovations. + Manage and optimize plasma spray repair process, utilizing plasma spray technologies. + Manage and optimize welding operations (TIG), ensuring highest standards of quality and precision. + Collaborate with Engineering team to provide technical guidance on Plasma Coupon Test Evaluations, Bench repair methods and welding specifications to ensure compliances in accordance to repair standards. + Collaborate with facilities team to maintain and troubleshoot welding and plasma spray machinery, including Miller Syncrowave TIG Welding machines, Praxair 3620 Plasma Spray System, and conventional machines, ensuring continuous efficiency and minimizing downtime. + Support optimization of repair processes across mechanical and chemical cleaning, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), painting, conventional machining, and sheet metal repairs. + Achieve operational objectives, including Turnaround Time (TAT), On-time Delivery (OTD), productivity, quality, and financial targets, through effective planning and execution. + Support Smart Factory initiatives to drive digital transformation, enhance processes, and improve operational performance within the repair cell. + Communicate effectively with shop floor employees, providing performance feedback, and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement. + Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments in Engineering, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, HR, and Materials. + Participate in audits and inspections to uphold compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. + Drive productivity improvements by engaging CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) projects focused on reducing costs, improving quality, and minimizing cycle time. + Support and promote EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) programs, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace environment. + Provide on-site support during weekends or nightshift as needed to meet production demands and address critical requirements. Qualifications You Must Have + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or relevant Engineering qualifications. + 2 years of relevant experience with a focus on plasma spray, welding and repair engineering. + Technical experience in leading and guiding operations in problem solving and improvement of welding (TIG, MIG, Stick) and plasma spray repair processes. Talent with advanced repair engineering experience can be considered for Senior Engineer role. + Communicate effectively with shop floor employees, providing performance feedback, and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement. + Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. + Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards change management. + Good people management skill to manage and motivate a team to achieve business goals. Qualifications We Prefer + Knowledge of machinery Eg: Miller Syncrowave TIG welding machines, Praxair 3620 plasma spray systems. + Possess high level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive towards Quality. + Repair experience with a continuous improvement mindset. + Knowledge of aircraft engine workshop practices and/or engine MRO is a plus.
