Ford Ion Park is seeking highly motivated candidates for positions on a Battery Cell and Array Process Development Team. You'll have...
B.S. Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in developing advanced manufacturing process innovation projects
High knowledge in machine troubleshooting
Experience with machine design and manufacturing process optimization
Project management experience balancing multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong analytical thinking, as well as problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic working environment of a diverse team
Ability and willingness to travel in SE Michigan for potential supplier visits
Experience in industrial controls with Siemens PLC and FANUC robot
Even better, you may have...
MS degree a plus
Prototype / pilot scale manufacturing experience is a plus
Experience in the following areas is beneficial: General powertrain assembly principles (robot, fastening, welding, test)

What you'll do...
Ensure safe environment during life-cycle to manufacturing process procurement from design, build, installation, commissioning, launch and beyond through proven engineering methods
Engage in cross-functional teams comprised of manufacturing engineering, product design, facilities, etc. to represent Array Assembly and Cell to Pack to support feasible solutions
Develop appropriate documentation to support the protection of intellectual property
Develop and maintain a standard manufacturing Bill-of-Process to enable the replication of state-of-the-art battery cell manufacturing processes on future global manufacturing programs
Program and modify machine PLC logic (i.e., Siemens) and robot logic (i.e., FANUC)
Work with building trades to help with engineering solutions to keep manufacturing equipment cycling
