About the role
The Cellar Manager, at the Beringer Winery in St Helena, CA is responsible for leading all cellar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production of high-quality wines in accordance with the Treasury Americas (TAM) standards. This role is pivotal in managing wine production from grape intake through bottling, collaborating closely with the winemaking, maintenance, and laboratory teams. The Cellar Manager will also lead a skilled team of cellar technicians, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
+ Day-to-Day Cellar Operations: Manage cellar activities for the winemaking process from grape intake, crushing, fermentation, aging, and blending wines for bottling.
+ Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead, train, and manage a team of cellar technicians, and seasonal staff during harvest.
+ Quality Control and Winemaking Support: Collaborate closely with the winemaking team to ensure that all cellar activities contribute to the production of wines of the highest quality.
+ Compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations: Ensure all cellar activities are compliant with OSHA safety standards, environmental regulations, and Treasury Wine Estates’ internal policies. Conduct regular safety audits, implement corrective actions, and train staff on proper safety procedures.
+ Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Implement best practices and propose process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
+ People & Culture: Manage Cellar Supervisors and Team Leads. Ensure they are set up to actively manage on floor personnel to meet safety, quality, and production goals. Create a comprehensive training & development plan to build capability of the workforce in accordance with the cellar skills training matrix.
About you

+ Some college coursework preferred
+ Bilingual preferred
+ 5+ years accumulative in a supervisor or management role in Operations
+ Proficient user of JDE, Kronos, VinoEZ, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other computer programs
+ Leadership and team-building skills to manage and inspire a diverse environment.
+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Commitment to safety, quality, and operation excellence.
+ Passion for winemaking and dedication to Treasury Wine Estates’s vales of sustainability, innovation, and quality.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $87,000 to $110,000 per year and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our St Helena location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
